Martijn Engelbregt is graphic artist. In 1994, he founded the ‘registration data research group’ EGBG, the Engelbregt Gegevens Beheer Groep. Engelbregt is interested in how personal information is used in today’s society. He devises questionnaires and forms which not only collect the intended data but which also address their own purpose.  With projects such as ‘Counter-script’ and ‘A Democratic Artwork for the Kremlin’, EGBG questions the casual acceptance of the use of personal data in society.
We’ve asked Martijn Engelbregt to think about the form and forming of the musical practice.
